GHaS 2025 was hosted at two locations: Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC, Kuala Lumpur — Malaysia's largest exhibition centre) for the main programme, and Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for selected VIP sessions and gatherings. Note: the DB row currently lists 'Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre' as venue — this may be a row-quality issue if 2026 venue stays as MITEC. Flag for editorial review.

The Global Halal Summit (GHaS) is a premier international gathering hosted by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). The three-day summit, held in Kuala Lumpur at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) with VIP sessions at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, brings together global halal certification bodies, Shariah experts, government leaders, and industry stakeholders for dialogue, training, collaboration, and trade expansion. GHaS is positioned as the flagship halal-diplomacy platform under the Government of Malaysia, drawing delegates from over 40 countries including the GCC, ASEAN, EU and OIC. The 2025 theme — 'Integrity, Sustainability, Resilience' — reflects the urgent need for harmonised halal governance, improved technical capacity, and stronger inter-regional partnerships. The DB row's 2026-09-21..09-22 dates point to the next forthcoming edition; the official site at scrape time still carries the 2025 programme.
“Through GHaS, we aim to not only advance Malaysia's leadership in halal but to strengthen the entire global halal infrastructure. We welcome all partners to converge and collaborate. — YBhg. Dato' Dr. Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee, Director General, JAKIM”
